Saarloos v. The Cowboy Channel, LLC

United States District Court for the Central District of California
Case No. 5:24-cv-02058-KK-SP

Welcome to the Website for the Saarloos v. The Cowboy Channel, LLC Proposed Class Action Settlement

If You Have Subscribed to Cowboy Channel Plus, You May Be Entitled to a Payment from a Class Action Settlement.

A settlement has been reached in a class action lawsuit against The Cowboy Channel, LLC. The class action lawsuit claims that that Defendant, The Cowboy Channel, LLC, disclosed its subscribers' personally identifiable information (“PII”) to Meta Platforms, Inc. (“Meta”), Google LLC (“Google”), and Yahoo Inc. (“Yahoo”), without consent and in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act (the "VPPA"). The VPPA defines PII to include information which identifies a person as having requested or obtained specific video materials or services from a video tape service provider. Defendant denies that it violated any law, but has agreed to the settlement to avoid the uncertainties and expenses associated with continuing the case.

You are included if you are a person in the United States who, from September 25, 2022, to and through October 9, 2024, have or had a subscription to Cowboy Channel Plus (on cowboychannelplus.com).

Persons included in the Settlement will be eligible to receive a pro rata (meaning equal) portion of the Settlement Fund.
